Rainbow Bridge

At 9 Year of age, my beloved, loyal companion, "Star", Loranka's Star Attraction
(pictured on the right) has gone to the bridge.  (October 2009)   I will miss her everyday.
She was my world, and noone can replace her.

It is with great despair to announce my beloved Lainie passed in her sleep on 8/25/09.
Lainie was a blessing sent to me by Lorraine Hughes of Loranka Cavaliers.
She was my first Ch and Lorraines first US Ch, finishing at 10 months of age with
puppy group wins, ckcscusa best puppy trophies, etc. She was loving, smart and loyal
but independent. Lainie died of late onset mvd. She was 10 years old and had only
had to be on meds for 1 year.
Today is a reminder of why we HAVE to find a cure for mvd. Please click on my
website to donate to help us with genetic issues that affect our beloved breed.
Thank you for all of your condolences. Lainie is now in heaven with other beloved
RCF animals who wait for Terri to ultimately join them. Thanks to Lorraine for
giving me a chance with such a special girl, and to God, for allowing Lainie to join me
and make my life feel so unconditionally loved.

Diva has gone to Rainbow Bridge. She had an auto immune disease.

Diva, a Great Pyrenees Rescue. She was found starved, having lived in the woods
for 8 months with a litter of dead puppies next to her. 30 pounds underweight,
a neighbor took their sweet time reporting her to GPR. She was a doll, and the
protector of our farm. She slept on a huge LL bean bed next to Terri.

Yegorov Royal Clifford
"Cliff"
Clifford passed away from metastasized cancer in Sept 08. He was 8 years old. He was my rock, my best boy who bounded around making all who knew him so happy. He was a prepotent stud dog and his healthy lines live on in his daughter Bella, gdaughter Mary Rose and on to her children. I am grateful to his breeders, Seija and Pauliina for this very special boy. God bless you, my beloved Clifford.

Honey
Honey died of cancer at age 13
Honey

Hannah was breathtakingly beautiful inside and out. Rescued from one of my clients animal shelters in Richmond, Va in 1992. Days from whelping and sick with kennel cough when I adopted her. Tragically, over time, all the puppies became infected and died. Hannah can never be replaced in our hearts. Loyal, intelligent, and the best mother to the Cavaliers, she will live in our hearts forever. Hannah died of bone cancer at age 13. God be with you always, sweet Hannah.

Tia: Rescued from the Fairfax, Va animal shelter in 1988, her cage card read
"does not like other pets". LOL...boy did she have to deal! Tia ruled the roost until she was joined by Honey in 1991. Cat fights over Moms attention were the nightly routine ( both declawed, and never malicious ) for our amusement. What a personality. Just full of intelligence and love. When I was recovering from my accident, all the animals would make a line and walk with me to get my mail
( 1/4 mile to box ). It was a sight to see the dogs and the cats going for a walk together, all off lead and of their own volition. Tia will never know how grateful I am to her for being there through all of my life's challenges. Tragically, she died this June of bone cancer to the face. She was 16 years old. The picture you are looking at was taken days before her death. She valiantly fought to stay with me, and the Lord blessed us by having her die peacefully at home while we were at a dog show. Just as I had prayed for.

"Squeegie"
It is with great sadness that I must announce the passing of my beloved horse, Squeegie. "Squeegie" my 24 year old old Thoroughbred, took care of me while I struggled with rheumatoid arthritis. He never took a wrong step, and when I suffered from incredible pain, it was as though he knew it, and treaded even lighter steps. He can never be replaced in my heart. God Bless you, my sweet and beloved Squee ".
He will be missed by his pasture buddy , Bart, and all the other horses of Tavern Stables. Thanks to Dr. Scott Marshall for his compassion and guidance, and Kim Bragan, manager of Tavern Stables, for her love and friendship.
